First of all, thanks for the advice you two. (Tom, your comment is not pointless babbling. At least it made lots of sense to me!)
I am definitely going to go to the interview. At least if the other place turns out to be awful I won’t have a dilemma any more! Same goes for if the new people turn out to hate me on sight. I need to make a decision soon though, preferably before my current boss draws up a contract…

Firstly, congratulations on the job offer, well done. Secondly, congrats on the interview!

Go to the interview but do not tell your boss where you are going! He doesn’t need to know at this stage.

See how the interview at the other place goes before you make your head hurt more. Once you’ve had the interview it might be an easier decision to make. You might not like this new place/people/terms of contract etc. Or it might be 20 trillion times better than where you are now. Reassess after the interview. I was in a similar position a few months ago and it is a good dilemma

Hmm, that does sound like a dilemma.

The only thing I can really say is to go with your heart. Now I know what you’re thinking, what a totally cliche thing to do. But this is how it works.

Get a penny. Make heads one job, and tails the other. Flip it.

If it lands on something and you think, ah, well, if it says so. Make that decision. If it lands on something and you think, oh, Im not sure, can I flip again, you immediatly know that isn’t the right one.

Now, I know, for such a big decision that sounds stupid, but if you make it bigger (not like, a bigger penny ) as in, flipping the decisions in your head and realising which one you’d feel more comfortable doing, then you’ll know which is right.

And yeah, maybe in a couple months you’ll be thinking ‘man, why didn’t i pick that job’ but that’s life. Don’t get caught up in the past, focus on the future.

Hope my pointless 16 year old babbling was of some help, if not, sorry.
