I don’t really have anything to say today, so have some links from around the web instead:
- It’s official, women need more sleep than men! So the next time one of the men in your life complains about you having a lie in, tell him it’s either that or having to put up with you being grumpy all day.
- These photos of a now-abandoned military hospital look like something straight from the set of a horror film. It’s all the more poignant to me because I was actually born there (or rather, in the Louise Margaret Hospital, which was the maternity wing).
- This thought catalog of 33 of the Most Hilariously Terrible First Sentences in Literary History is laugh-out-loud funny. I especially like the gerbil…
- Some of you will remember that I reblogged The Diary of Sugar and Spice’s post on how to dress like a German female a while ago. Well, she’s posted a male version now. Check it out!
And finally, a video. The translators among you will appreciate this the most, but everyone should check it out. Make sure to watch it all the way to the end!
That video just blew my mind!!
It’s fantastic, isn’t it? Must have taken ages to get it to work out!
GAHHHH you made me click on a Daily Mail link!!! My eyesss!!!
I read the German womens’ version – and now the mens’ version – of the clothes posts and I don’t know what it is but I guess I didn’t find them so funny. Perhaps it’s that I don’t have that kind of sense of humour? Haha, I dunno. I’m glad she’s getting lots of clicks from them though!
Haha, sorry about the Daily Mail thing. I felt kind of dirty reading the article, but it IS the hospital I was born in so I wanted to see…
I found the female version of the clothes post funnier, probably because it rang more true for me. I’ve never seen anyone dressed in the men’s fashions she posts, but I included the link for the sake of completeness since I had posted the women’s one.
I would love to go to this military hospital! So creepy!
You do see socks and sandals on old men but I think only some 14 year old emo guys wear pants like that. 🙂
Those hospital pics are creepy!
They really are! I can’t believe how run down it looks already… my brother spent a night on the children’s ward there in the 90s, about a six months before it closed down.
