A Photo an Hour: 24 March 2018

Hello friends! As some of you know, Saturday was this month’s Photo an Hour day. I took part on Twitter and now I want to add the photos to me blog, too.

10 a.m. Jan brought me a cup of tea in bed! Don’t be too jealous… it’s only because I was on day 3 of a sore throat ๐Ÿ˜‰

11 a.m. Time for a shower! I used the one above the bath this time since Jan was in the other one.

12 noon. The sun was shining for a change and it was actually warm so we decided to go for a walk in the woods. On the way there we passed this field, which is usually full of horses. You can just about spy one at the back, by the tent thing.

1 p.m. After leaving the woods we reached a cafรฉ where we stopped for a drink.

2 p.m. Heading home. The train is on its way to Basel from France.

3 p.m. A late lunch. This interesting looking twisty thing had bacon pieces in it. SO tasty!

4 p.m. Jan was busy doing something for his choir, so I started a new book. My final one for Erin’s challenge!

5 p.m. Time for another cuppa.

6 p.m. Doing some colouring. Jan laughed at by baby dragons colouring book – mean!

7 p.m. More reading while the potatoes cook for tea.

8 p.m. Eating baked potatoes and watching Pointless Celebrities

9 p.m. Still watching TV (although we switched it off 2 minutes after this photo was taken!)

10 p.m. In bed with my book. I’m determined to finish the challenge this month!

11 p.m. Refilled my water, now it’s time to sleep.

So, that was my Saturday. How was yours?

As always, Photo and Hour was hosted by Louisa and Jane.

  1. That sounds lovely and relaxing. Mine wasn’t too bad, but my poor husband went on a rampage against a neighbouring cockerel who keeps visiting our girls, and ended up erecting a colditz-like parameter around their yard, to stop him from getting in. I think my husband brought work stress homebirth him this weekend and needed a distraction! Poor thing ๐Ÿ˜‰

  2. Ooh, you reminded me I must post mine!I like your dragon colouring book.Mmm, bacony twisty thing sounds fab! What did you have on/with your baked potatoes? #vegetablepolice!

  3. I hadn’t heard about it (I don’t spend a lot of time on FB), what a nice idea. Sounds like a perfect day. Is that an Emma Bridgwater mug in your photos? Can you buy them over there or did you take them out with you? If there is such a thing as an EB addict, I am probably one and have to exert great self-control when she has an online sale (though I usually don’t manage it and feel I have to place an order to ensure EB doesn’t go under and has to sack all her staff…). Our Saturday was quiet. We’d had friends staying with us the night before on a flying visit before going to see their son who nears near us. After they left we spent 2 or 3 hours walking to a local small nature reserve as the weather was good (sadly, the most interesting wildlife we saw were a couple of teals), back home for a late lunch – I made ‘green’ soup from leek and broccoli trimmings – followed by making plans for our holiday after Easter while my husband did the ironing while watching sport on TV. Rather more exciting than our normal Saturday when we’re at home.

    1. It is an Emma Bridgwater mug! You can sometimes get her things here – I’ve seen the teapots with the coloured dots on – but my mugs were Christmas gifts from my grandma. She also got me the tea/coffee/sugar tins from the same set.

Your Saturday sounds lovely – a walk and soup ๐Ÿ™‚

  4. We’ve promised Chomeuse a trip to the factory and shop in Hanley in the Midlands when she comes over for a long stay hopefully later this year- it’s a fabulous place, you can do a tour of the factory itslef and then look at hundreds of pretty plates and things. There is just too much choice and I challenge anyone to come back from there empty-handed.
