Hello lovelies. I haven’t done one of these in a while… I’ve just checked: the last one was June 2018. I don’t have anything else to post about right now – or at least nothing I feel like making the effort for – so we’ll go with this.
Dear Christmas. I see you lurking just over the horizon. Calm down and bide your time… I have way too much to do before you get here!
Dear people who constantly posting X sleeps until Christmas. You are not helping with the above situation!
Dear universe. On behalf of my family, I would like to say please just stop! The last couple of months have been relentless.
Dear flight companies. Are you actually serious about your prices to fly from the European continent to England this year? I paid triple what I normally do for flights to England… and that includes the time I went over for my grandpa’s funeral and literally booked the flight the night before. In fact, I’ve just checked and I could get a return flight from London to New York on the same dates for less. Care to explain?
Dear work. I still love you but I have to confess I would much rather be off right now. As I already told Christmas, there’s just so much to do!
Dear weekend. You’re so close I feel like I can almost reach out and touch you. I just wish we could hang out more often and for longer!
Dear bookshelves. Please don’t be sad that I’ve put myself on a book buying ban for the rest of the year. After the extortionate flight prices I really can’t justify buying anything other than necessities and Christmas presents now. And the unread books seem to be on a mission to take over anyway, so I shall be attempted to make a dent in those before adding any new ones. Okay?
Dear everyone. I hope you have a wonderful weekend, however you plan to spend it. I will be reading, cleaning and trying to get as many Christmas cards as possible made.

Argh, I also feel like Christmas is going to come too fast this year and I really want to be super organized this time for once! We try to book our Christmas flights to Ireland as far in advance as possible for this reason. It drives me mad how airlines will hike up the prices around the holidays
We’ve booked this late for Christmas before – and even later – and it’s NEVER been this expensive. We didn’t want to book before 31st October because we were waiting to see what was happening with Brexit.
I’m putting the tree up on the 1st December and not a minute sooner haha! I also count sleeps but not so early 🙂

We won’t have a tree this year since we’re not here for Christmas. We get a real tree and when we’re here for Christmas Jan won’t even buy it until the 22nd at the earliest.
I’d write a letters post as well, but too many of them would be riddled with profanity right now! 🙂 Maybe I’ll write and just not post it. I like the idea and always enjoy yours – and all the photos you have of mailboxes!

Thanks lovely. I swear the universe decided it had something against us last October and has been gleefully kicking us while we’re down ever since. Every time the phone rings I think “what is it *this* time?!”.
I feel ya on the Christmas thing but mainly because I have sooo many songs still to teach! I’ve done bugger all Christmas shopping& frankly don’t care!!! Not sure why I’m so laissez faire this year!
I’ve bought my cousin’s Christmas present because it has to go to New Zealand together with her birthday presents and her birthday is on 12th November. Other than that I’ve had my godson’s since September and recently bought part if my mum’s, dad’s and sister’s.
I love this post idea! I’ll have to try it out one day.
I agree with you- Christmas is coming way too fast! I Haven’t even started my shopping yet. I’m also on a book buying ban. I recently cancelled my book of the month to save some money and because I was simply running out of room- I don’t read books that fast anyway. I’m still sad that monthly treat is no longer coming around! Hope your ban ends soon!! have a great weekend!
My ban won’t end until January but it’s not as if I don’t have enough unread books to last me until then 😉
Sadly, I’m one of the people who is running headlong into Christmas this year. I’m ready for it, but not actually ready for it. Santa! Come find me!
I have to admit I’m looking forward to the time off but the period between now and then fills me with dread. So much to do!
